Bridal Shower Ideas

My lovely friend Molly is getting married soon and her bridal shower is quickly approaching! I'm lucky enough to get to plan it (with her mom) and I'm playing around with the idea of a vintage camping/BBQ theme. I've gathered a bunch of ideas and things are starting to form...I'm thinking yummy campfire snacks, colors from the 60's, a buffalo plaid picnic blanket, an old iron thermos...

It's no secret that I love this "Camping Circa 1960's" series from Old School Stationers.

I love these vintage melamine dishes!

Now this looks like a fun BBQ. I'd love to somehow work in some vintage linens; but I'm not sure how it's applicable to a bridal shower...

Campfire votive from Kikkerland

Buffalo Plaid throw from Urban Outfitters; but it is no longer in stock :(

Now I know Molly loves cupcakes...so I think those may have to be worked in somehow too!!

What do you think??? Any fun ideas??

A few years ago my mom and I planned a wedding shower for my cousin with the theme something like "perfect '50s housewife" (tongue in cheek, of course). So we all wore cute little aprons, and we had '50s decorations (paper wedding bells and flowers) and lots of interesting '50s food (a jello mold, spam & Velveeta, pineapple upside-down cake) and Cory helped me design the invitation so that it looked like an ad from an old magazine, with a tear-off corner to mail in as an RSVP. It was really cute.

Goodness, I love your ideas and style. You're just one of those girls that's got it. I'm always inspired when I visit here...
