Wallpaper...

...of the computer kind. Veer is an awesome resource, and if you haven't checked it out, you really should. One of my fav freebies they provide is desktop wallpaper. Here is a selection of some of the best:

It always perks me up to open up my PowerBook and see a fun design on my desktop. Talk about a bit of daily inspiration! I love to change it up often...sometimes I even put special ones up for holidays...hehehe

Addictive Click Art

I originally spotted this on sfgirlbybay and have had so much fun with it! Nonsek is a website where you can design your own one-of-a-kind (most likely) graphic tee. Here is the description from the site:

The Nonsek Machine generates rare and random graphic remixes with a simple click of a button. You don’t like what you see? Click again. It doesn‘t cost anything, and won’t hurt one bit. Give it a try! Trust us, you’ll hit on an “OMG I gotta have it!” graphic remix in just a few spins. And when you do, we’d suggest that you save it to your cart (you can always remove it later), or risk losing it forever! You see, there’s a KAJILLION-TO-ONE chance (give or take) that the same combination will ever spin up again.

This is really, really fun, and really addictive! It's amazing what combing great graphics and pop colors can do. Every single one isn't a winner, but when you happen upon one that is; it's truly magical!

Have fun clicking!

Just a Little Jonathan Adler Love

These images are from HouseBeautiful of Liz Lange's country residence designed by Jonathan Adler. I absolutely LOVE all the navy and teal against the stark whites. I just had to share this!

Birthday at the Amusement Park

So, my birthday was last week. That morning when I woke up, my hubby (DB) presented me with quite the conundrum. I was to choose if we would spend the day 1) Antiquing in Aurora or 2) at Oaks Amusement Park here in Portland. It was a tough, tough call, but I choose the latter and we had a BLAST! Neither of us had ever been to Oaks before...and it was sooooo fun. Such a carnival atmosphere. I loved all the colors, the kinda wonky wonderment of it all, and I got some great pictures!

Next time we go, I really, really hope we can go roller skating too. It was closed this time, but I hear that it is so old-school and really kitschy. I have another friend getting married soon and I think we will have to have her bachelorette party there :) After the amusement park, we dined at Le Pigeon; an EastBurn staple. It was wonderful and we followed that up with a long walk in NW around Chapman Elementary (where the swifts fly) and then just had to get a piece of cake at Papa Haydn's (since we were in the neighborhood, of course)!

Project Peek!

Some beautiful textiles from Fabricworm. I have a project I'm working on and trying to pick which one to use! I think I'm leaning towards the top one...I am just loving yellow and gray right now...
